Thinking back to the early days ...

Throughout my life there was always music playing, be it at home with mom playing records or while driving listening to the radio. In all honesty my mom had realy bad taste in music, i recall alot of disco and alot of 70's pop music resonating into my room while i played. When i finally came into liking my own music, and having my own radio, it seems my taste was quite different.

2 of my earliest recollections that actualy stuck were Blondies Parallel Lines and The B-52's original self-titled. Anyone who hasnt heard Blondies Heart of Glass or One way or Another or The B-52's Planet Claire or Rock Lobster just wouldnt understand ..... i was 7-8 years old then and these albums still pull their weight today.

Blondie - Parallel Lines (1978)

recently a 30th Anniversary edition was released with bonus material.

the reason for this blog ......

"...in the days of kings and queens,i was a jester. treat me like a god or they treat me like a leper. you see me move back n forth between both,im trying to find a balance... im trying build a balance..."

"God bless America, but she stole the "B" from bless..."

My First Post

In Light of the recent passing of Dennis Hopper, i decided to dedicate my first post to him.
from Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dennis_Hopper

"Hopper died at his home in the coastal Los Angeles suburb of Venice on the morning of May 29, 2010, due to complications from prostate cancer. He was 74 years old."

2 of my more fav. roles Hopper played: the psychotic masochist Frank Booth from the David Lynch film Blue Velvet and the strange loner Feck from River's Edge.oddly both films were released in the same year,1986.
